US Author warns of Islamic Holy War's 'fifth column'

Near the end of the Spanish Civil War, General Emilio Mola's army was advancing on Madrid when a reporter asked him which of his four columns would capture the city. "The fifth column," he replied, meaning the rebel's militant subversive supporters inside the capital, whose efforts had already undermined it from within. The term fifth column was well known to those of my generation who lived through World War II. Many of the free countries of the world were riddled with fifth column subversive cells being prepared for invasion by the Nazis, the Italian fascists or Japanese armies.

Harvey Kushner has been in law enforcement, military and federal intelligence activities, and has been a consultant to the CIA, FBI, U.S. Customs Service as well as many other national, state and local police organizations. He chairs a major university department of criminal justice and is the author of the award-winning "Encyclopedia of Terrorism." Kushner's book is one of the most "politically incorrect" books ever written about Islam and for good reason. He feels that the United States and the Western World are engaged in World War Four ... After World Wars I and II, the Cold War and the war against the terrorists of militant Islam. He states, unabashedly, "In my 30 years in counterterrorism, I have never been more worried about my country."
