Muslim women report imam to the police
This is of course in reply to the imam who said that “Women who go to hairdressers will go to hell”:Today, on international women's day, 40 Muslim women will report a Danish imam to the police. Last month, the imam called on Muslim men in Denmark to stop their wives from wearing jewellery and perfume and from going to the hairdresser's. He also called on the men to make sure that their wives were completely covered up whenever they went out. But some Muslim women will not stand for that, and now the imam is being reported to the police for violating their rights. One woman told Danish media that the imam is trying to introduce measures like the ones used in the countries that they have fled.

Best news I've heard from there in ages. Lets just hope this doesn't lead to any "honor" killings.
Its good to see that these women are standing up for their rights. Hopefully they don't have pay for their self-determination.
Wow, what a conundrum this must put the "tolerant" into...whose rights are supeior now? The womens, as a historically oppresed 1/2 of the species, or the Islamics, who are the religioulsy oppressed..
It's got me smirking....but, it's not funny. I'm with the women. I hope they don't let go of their rights, without a fight, and I suppose if they fight, they'll win....
