The Future of Fjordman Blog

I posted earlier that I will probably quit blogging soon. I got some emails from Aaron from the Internet Haganah, Baron and Dymphna from the Gates of Vienna and others, wondering whether I was ok. I'm fine, I'm not ill and I don't have Al-Qaida outside my door. There are strictly private and personal reasons why I can't continue blogging the way I am doing right now. First of all, I'm a little bit tired, but most importantly, there are family related issues which I won't explain in detail. I will definitely be completely gone for a rather long time. Maybe I will return some day, but I don't know that for sure.

I will try to continue blogging for the rest of November, or at least as long as possible, so don't stop visiting when you read this :-)

You can't do this. We will chain you to your PC, force feed you, and set you up with a caffeine IV.

We must have Norse Vikings represented in the blogosphere. It's an affirmative action thing.

Goddammit Fjordman, say it ain't so!!!

I can understand your POV though. I am having a very tough time to come up with good posts on a regular basis and actually it's bad for both my professional AND my family life.

Well, a man's got to to what he's got to do. But IF you are indeed gonna stop, it will be a huge loss for our Euro Rightwing Front.

Unlike the Baron, I may not cling to your leg as you attempt to close the door, I do think I shall go to my room and tear up a bit...this is sad.

In the light of your decision, you may enjoy a post I wrote recently:

Blogs Are Like Children

I hope your adieu is for happy reasons. It is trite to say you will be sorely missed. As Michael noted, it will be a huge loss.

That's bad news, even though your decision is fully understandable.

This amount and kind of quality writing takes time and effort and you must have made substantial sacrifices in your life off line.

I sincerely hope you'll be back in one way or the other.

I can understand your reason for leaving for personal reasons (and it's none of my business). I do hope however that you will continue to contribute to the usual blogs still out there. Thanks from Canada.

Fjordman, maybe this is rude of me, but since I'm active at FOMI, I really would appreciate if you could consider giving me your mail adress.

You could for example mail it to me at magnacarta1215@hushmail.com

Your blog is one of the best, and will be sorely missed, especially among those with a Scandinavian heritage. As important as your blog is, your family is more important. I have tremendous respect for you in putting them first. Wishing you and your family all the best, we will miss you--and be very happy if you are able to return at some future date. Tusen Takk!!
