Where goes Fjordman?

Hello to my readers. As some of you may have noticed, I have mentioned in passing that I will soon take a long break from blogging. I haven't decided on a date yet, and I will definitely continue blogging for the rest of October. Most likely, I will quit at some point during the first half of November. I have some essays and posts that I have planned for a long time, and I want to finish and publish them before I go into hibernation. The next few weeks will thus be a rather busy period here. I may not post every single day, but if I don't, that is because I am preparing an essay that will be published the following day. I will also do some "interactive" writing, where I toss out a certain topic and debate this with my readers. I will then incorporate some of your comments and make a longer and more comprehensive post about that subject later.

I'm not sure for how long I will be gone, but it will be for a period of some months at least. There is a real possibility that I will never return.

Well, that's disappointing. You are one of my favorite bloggers, and I believe your work is truly important.

I'm not leaving quite yet. I may have my best three of four weeks as a blogger ahead of me :-)

You are an important window into Scandanavia (and it's shocking decline into chaos and dhimmitude) but I completely understand your retirement. I too retired from blogging several months back, partly out of 'blog fatigue' partly out of a deepening pessimism about the scale of the disaster we are racing toward.

Even if/when you retire this blog I hope you continue commenting on other blogs. As I've said before, your insight into Scandanavia is irreplaceable. You will be missed. Stay safe.

I too will be sorry to see you go, your blog is one of my regular daily stops. I don't get much real behind the scenes information about Scandanavia here in Canada. First the Copenhagen Post goes subscription, then this. As Thomas said, we look forward to your comments elsewhere.

Fjordman,

Many thanks for your insights into what is happening in your part of the world.

I realize blogging is very time consuming, and life does have other important demands.

We will miss your perspective. I for one have benefited greatly from it.

I hope it is only a well deserved rest instead of a permanent departure. I've enjoyed your blog immensely because it gave us an insight into a part of the world that is very important and instrumental, though rarely if ever brought out into the global limelight. Pity. Though the optimist in me says...see you in the New Year!

Best wishes with whatever you choose. But I hope you can convince yourself to continue blogging, if only at a reduced pace. Perhaps joining a group blog where you need only occasionally post would suit you. I'm sure my colleagues at YARGB would be happy to have you join us. Please email me @gmail.com if you are interested.

Best wishes Fjordman in all your future endeavors, although I hope you will consider returning at some point in the future. Your sagacity, insight, and humor about Scandinavia and other topics will be missed.

Thanks for your classy contribution, Fjordman. I hope you will not decide to stop blogging.

Thank you for your blog. Living in the US, I like knowing what the state of things is on the "front" in Europe. No one I know believes Scandinavia, of all places, is dealing with this in such a major way, until I call up your blog when they are over.

I too wish you'd consider retirement. If you join a group blog, please let us know, so we can link to it and once again follow your insight.

Oops, I meant RE-consider retirement, as in, don't quit blogging totally.

Well this is disappointing. I just find this fine blog and it is due to go out of business soon. We need blogs like this.
