Pedophilia more acceptable in warm countries?

Well, little Aisha played with dolls at the age when Muhammed had sex with her, dolls were forbidden for those who hade reached puberty:
From Sahih Muslim:
2b. "(3310) ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old."
(3311) ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) married here when she was seven years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and here dolls were with her: and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old." Sahih Muslim vol.2:3310,3311 p.716.

In english, isn't a grown man who has had sex with a nine year old child a pedophile? So it must be correct for us to call him a pedophile?

This is just silliness. (Females in hot climates reach puberty from 9 - 16 and in cold climates when they are 21.) Females everywhere begin menarche when they have reached their adult height and weight. Usually it is between 12 and 16 now, irrespective of where they live. It would be most unusual for a 9 year old to reach menarche in any climate no matter what 'physicians' said. Also, what sort of companion would a 9 yr old make for a man 50 years her senior? Did they spend their private hours discussing the finer points of theology? I think not.

I'm hardly an apologist for Islam, but I would like to point out that the article clearly states that the marriage was not consummated until the girl "had reached maturity". Therefore, this is not pedophilia.
It's quite common in many countries, not just Muslim ones, for couples to be "married" before one or both is sexually mature and I don't see anything wrong with that as long as they aren't having sex with a minor!
