Police suspect homemade bomb

Rumor has it that the apartment belonged to two Palestinian brothers. The suspects have earlier been involved in criminal activities, such as trying to blow up ATMs to steal the money:

Police suspect homemade bomb

A blast ripped through an Oslo apartment building on Wednesday night, leaving one person dead and two injured. Police, firefighters and ambulance personnel evacuated a building in Hagelundveien in Oslo's Grorud district after a powerful explosion tore through a first floor apartment. A 19-year-old man was taken to Ullevål Hospital with serious injuries, while another person was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Three men and two women between the ages of 16 and 20 were present when what aftenposten.no believes was a homemade bomb detonated in the apartment. Neighbors said that two brothers of foreign extraction occupy the apartment on a sublet. Police forces on the scene discovered what appeared to be undetonated explosive devices on the lawn outside the building. The emptied building and surrounding premises were searched by sniffer dogs for bombs. The Police Security Service (PST) have been called in on the case but refused immediate comment, saying the matter was still in the hands of Oslo police.
