Socialists in Europe - Electing a New People?
I've mentioned here before I am planning to write an essay about the Islamic-Socialist connections in several European countries, whenever I have the time. I know for sure that in countries such as Norway and Denmark, the vast majority of immigrants vote for leftist parties. As one Muslim in Norway put it: "The Socialists give me more money". Socialists in turn are courting immigrants, and in essence electing a new people, replacing the one already there with one more supportive of their agenda. I'm interested in getting links documenting this from my readers, from different countries. The links should be in English or Scandinavian languages, or provided with a short translation and summary.Leftists never lost the Cold War. They've just been regrouping and hiding their former goals in a new, multicultural wrapping.

I am not aware of any other great civilization that has ever been so in the throes of self-loathing.
Fjordman, I must disagree that Left has been hiding their former goals in a new, multicultural wrapping because it's been obvious for a very long time and at least since the 60's it's been pretty blatant here in the U.S. that multiculturalism is a tool of the left, as is affirmative action, income redistribution, the dumbing down of the public school system among other things with the end goal the destruction of western civiilization and American style economic and personal freedom.
Multiculuralism is a euphemism for divide and conquer. In the US, we had and hope we will have again soon, a melting pot. We’re all Americans, but we also look different, have lots of different customs, yummy food, old country traditions, etc. The Left wants us all to be hyphenated Americans and instead of all of us pledging our allegiance to our country, we’re supposed to relate only to our race, religion, ethnicity, etc. and they’re busy pitting all these different multi-culties against each other.
The fundamentalist Islamic movement also has its goal of the destruction of western civilization, so it isn't surprising that the Left in all their incarnations: the hippy-dippy cold war warriors; human rights groups; gun control; the anti-war nutcases; multiculties; the trade unions; the gay/lesbian group; the feminists; the environmentalists; the PETA people, etc. would want to ally themselves with Muslim terrorism.
I've purposely left out the irrational hatred of Israel and Jews -- the driving force in Islam because I'm reluctant to tar everyone on the Left with sharing this hatred as well, but the more I find out about them, the clearer it becomes, that anti-Semitism is part of the Left's world view and another issue that draws them towards Islam.
Of course, the Left is too blinded by hatred to see that if their dreams come true, they would be annihilated by their new friends along with the rest of us infidels. Allah akbar.

I've noticed, an I am growing a bit tired of it. I am torn between the "free speech" ideal and just common decency. I deleted one comment about interracial marriages which I thought was in bad taste. I will start deleting Robert's comments, too, if he posts his pointless, anti-Semitic spam again and again.

I believe Lenin (or Stalin?) said that borders between Soviet Republics were unimportant, as Socialism would transcend all national and religious bonds and render them a thing of the past. Socialists still haven't given up that ideal, after a century of failures.

Very true, Irene. I'm searching for the exact quote by Lenin (?) about the insignificance of borders, but haven't found it yet.

That is the same logic behind Mao's thinking in China during the Cultural Revolution. The past needed to be destroyed, even physically, to wipe the slate clean and pave the way for the Socialist revolution. The Western, Judeo-Christian and capitalist civilization has proved resistant to Socialism. It needs to be undermined through immigration, to make way for the Socialist transition.
