Feedback to Fjordman

I'm off to enjoy a couple of weeks of holiday, so posting will be very light during the first half of July. Since I've been posting for some months now, perhaps I should use the opportunity to get some feedback from my readers. The blog has so far stabilized on a bit less than 1000 unique hits per day, which isn't too bad for a blog from a small country like Norway. I have hundreds of daily readers, and thousands who return every now and then. I must be doing something right. What do you like about the blog, and why do you return? What do you think should be changed or improved upon? I think I will stick to the posting profile I have now. This is a Scandinavian blog, and a blog about Islam. The majority of my posts will be about Scandinavia or Islam, or both. But I will add some other posts about global politics, the EU, science and technology and a few just plain weird or funny stories from anywhere. Is that a good mix?

Fjordman, wishing all my readers a great summer.

I read your blog several times a week. Good work, just go on! Your reader from Czech Republic.

I visit your blog every day. I write about the same stuff on my blog. Unfortunately my blog is in Dutch, but I'm considering to write in English too.

I like your topics and I think that not only in your country there are problems with Islam. For example one of our best fighters for freedom of speech, Theo van Gogh, was killed by a muslim. And two MP's fear for their lives.

I would like it very much that someday European bloggers will bundle their efforts on one international blog.

Anyways, keep up the good work!!

I read your blog nearly daily. I find your information and "common man's perception" on Europe, Scandinavia, and Islam very informative and in line with what I hear on my own and talking with others of the region. I think the internet is a powerful tool, one that has bypassed the indoctrination of the mainstream media, and you have utilized it to your full or nearly full potential to help spread the news to others who may have been oblivious to the current plight of European man. Thank you for you time and effort. If I'm ever in Norway again, maybe we can have a beer or three. ;)

Have a nice holiday.

Just discovered your blog yesterday via a link to the long posting about the scary decline of Sweden into the first major Islamo-European country. As I read it, I kept envisioning Sweden as The Fool in the Tarot card deck, at the edge of the cliff with one foot firmly planted in midair. Well documented, well written and powerful stuff. I'll return to your blog.

Have a great holiday.

From New Zealand - I go to your blog daily. I think I read you because Scandinavian countries are like NZ - climate and (formerly) population wise.

Badmonkey - I went to the 3 names listed (savourstate, 1badmonkey and the other) but got nothing. Can you give a link? I am also interested in human behaviour/genetics/hereditary characteristics etc.

I am also a regular reader. It is very helpful to hear about Scandanavia, some of the political decisions made there serve as a "test case" for how things might work out in the US. I have to admit many times it has moved me decisively to the conservative side of the street!

More information about how the EU impacts the average citizen would be useful, since we have a group in the US who are pushing a "North American" union similar to the EU.
My impression is that there is a distinct lack of freedom under such an organization. Information about about family/social health trends in Northern Europe is also very welcome.

Enjoy your vacation, and thanks for taking the time to put together a very interesting blog.

Felix from New York checking in, Fjordman. Happy 4th of July. Appreciate your research and output.

A suggestion. Documenting the islamofscist problem is fine, and there is so much documentation available. How about we all focus more on specific policies to fight the menace of radical islam.

I return almost daily to your blog, and you certainly deserve the attention you get.

- Short, concise intelligent writing from an anti-euroleftist perspective.

- There's regrettably not many others i Europe, Scandinavia (especially Sweden) who have clearly identified Islam as a threat to individual human rights, western values and our future.

- I'm always looking for news for FOMI, a swedish forum against islamization.

Your way of attacking Islam together with scandinavian leftism, the ruling elite of media and politicians is probably correct.

As long as socialist anti-western, anti-individualist dogma dominates European thinking there will be no defense against the ambitions of the islamists.

I started visiting this blog as a result of reading your excellent article concerning Sweden's suicidal demise on FaithFreedom.org. I have linked you to my blogsite, and have your rss feed live on Yahoo!.

I read your blog every now and then to get news I know I won't be getting anywhere else. Your blog has a stringet but very solid content that one can enjoy and I also share your political views. Your reporting about my country, Sweden is sometimes brilliant and I wish we had a swedish blogger in such high class. I also feel that you put very much effort in making your blog different which I enjoy. I check for news and views here that I pass on to my blog. I some ways you've been an excellent role model and teacher for a young blogger like me. You are, beyond any doubt the best blogger in Scandinavia.. (and hopefully i'll replace you someday.. ;)

btw, put a link to your RSS on your page, some people might miss it otherwise.

Been reading for some time now; even linked to you from my blog. I first read your views on littlegreenfootballs.com. You're doing a grand job.

I'm a Scottish-born/Canadian writer currently living in New Zealand. I'm a Christian, a conservative and a hopeless expositor of polemical hyperbole. But that doesn't stop me from appreciating your calm, measured approach. I think yours is a valuable all-too-rarely heard voice of reason and, yes, alarm. You are a harbinger of dark days to come. I pray the powers that be don't get you in their conspurcating clutches.

Fjordman--

Have a well-earned holiday. We love you at Gates of Vienna, as you know. The Baron did a great deal of posting on your material. In fact, in many ways, you're a primary source for Americans because we're not getting this information anywhere else.

Today I'm doing a post which will essentially be a riff on your remark that sharia law and western law are like fire and water: they're never going to mix.

Yeah...with a thousand hits a day, don't change the formula.
